Kelly Hackman, owner of Coastline Salt Room, opened her facility in downtown New Port Richey’s Palm District in 2021.
Having been a believer in the benefits of halo (dry salt) therapy for many years, she decided to open her own salt room to help others with respiratory ailments and to provide a place for guests to relax in a tranquil and soothing atmosphere.
Kelly became interested in halo therapy after watching a news program about salt caves. She was instantly intrigued by the respiratory benefits since she suffers from severe allergy and sinus issues. “I enjoyed learning about the salt caves in Poland and the research that was taking place in other parts of the world that show benefits to participating in salt therapy,” she says. Kelly and her husband, Bryan, visited their first salt room in 2015 and were very impressed by the benefits they felt after just one visit.
After opening several other successful businesses, Kelly and Bryan knew they wanted to add a final business to their portfolio. It was important to do something they strongly believed in. They decided a salt room was their next business, and Coastline Salt Room was born.
Kelly opened her own salt room in the heart of the downtown New Port Richey's Palm District. “Being in New Port Richey was very important to me. I currently own and operate two other businesses in the downtown area with my husband so being in our hometown and offering these services to our local community was very important,” she states.
In August 2022, Kelly completed the Certified Halo Therapist program from the Salt Therapy Association. “It was important for me to understand the complete benefits and the research behind halotherapy so I can better assist my guests.”
Her goal for Coastline Salt Room is to create a spa like environment for guests to come and relax, while enjoying the respiratory benefits of salt therapy. Her design and layout of Coastline Salt Room do just that, and guests start to feel relaxation from the moment they walk in the door, until their leave after their session.
*In addition to owning and operating Coastline Salt Room, Kelly and Bryan own and operate The White Heron Tea & Gifts and Cotee River Brewing Company, both located in the heart of historic downtown New Port Richey. KB Hackman, the parent company of The White Heron Tea & Gifts also owns Driftwood Tea Company and Driftwood Botanicals, lending to an extensive business portfolio.
We chose the name Coastline because it implies being on the coast, often times near salt water.
Think of the times you are sitting at the beach, on the coast. The calm and relaxing feeling you feel is one we strive to emulate in our salt room.
In addition to the symbolic meaning for our salt room, we are also located on the Gulf coast of Florida. We are proud to offer services to our guests from other areas along the coast, including: Spring Hill, Brooksville, Hudson, Port Richey, Holiday, Trinity, Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Clearwater, and more. We are a short drive from each of these locations, and our spa-like atmosphere and knowledgeable team are ready to welcome you to your relaxation.
